Terms of use

Use the take-off and the guides freely. They produce planning quantities from published data and stated assumptions, and using them means accepting that this is what they are.

Quantities, not designs

The material take-off is a shopping list for checking a bid. It is not an engineered design, it does not size a panel section or a rod diameter, and it makes no determination about whether your soil will hold any of it. Those are decisions for a Florida licensed professional engineer working from a site investigation.

Permitting information is not legal advice

The permitting page describes published agency requirements as of the date shown. Agencies revise their rules and their forms. The authority on your permit is the reviewing agency, and every source is named so you can confirm it against the current version.

No prices

This site publishes no cost figures and gives no financial advice. Where it discusses what drives price, it describes structure rather than amounts, and it points you at public records rather than at an estimate.

The usual paragraph

Content is provided as-is without warranties of any kind, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for damages arising from use of this site. Outbound links do not imply endorsement. These terms change with the site and the effective date tracks the current revision. If part of this page is unenforceable where you live, the rest still applies.

Affiliate disclosure

There is none. This site carries no referral links and takes no commission from any contractor or supplier. If that changes, it will be disclosed here and on the page carrying the link.
